Meet Honey. Honey is a Shih tzu/maltese mix who was found in Houston. She was expecting babies any time.
She had her puppies a few days after we took her in and they are now ready to look for a home.

Hi, my name is Anita Belle and I need your help ! I was born with Liver Shunt. The doctor said they can fix me where I will live a long life but it will cost a lot of money. My Mommy and Daddy loved me so much that they gave me up so that I could live because they didn't have the money to pay for my surgery.
If you can just send a little money, 5 or 10 dollars or even 1 dollar we can get enough money to pay him so I can live a full life and play like other puppies.

Southeast Texas Maltese Rescue is located just outside of Beaumont, Texas and is a private, non-profit organization. Our mission is to provide for, and for promote the welfare, protection and humane treatment of animals. In other words, save dogs from euthanasia and abusive environments.
We rescue dogs 10 pounds and under, Maltese and yorkies and mixes but will assist in the rescue of all breeds, large or small. Southeast Texas Maltese Rescue is funded by donations and adoption fees and out of our own pocket when donations are not enough to pay the bills.
