Adoption Fees
We are a "full medical" rescue which means that we accept a dog in any condition or any age. Due to the rising cost of medical and the low cost spay and neuter clinic not accepting the smaller dogs anymore we are going to have to go up on our fees.
The average cost to spay/neuter, do a dental, heart worm test, and shots is in excess of 500.00. At our adoption prices we are still losing 50.00 to 100.00 and more per dog.
We hope that you can understand that we still only ask for a portion of the medical reimbursement while we furnish Major Surgery Fees, food, care, heart worm preventative, flea preventative and all medical other than the normal medical you would have to pay if you bought a dog.
Some of our fees are negotiable and we give discounts for some seniors, 65 years and older. Our main goal is not to makemoney but to get a good home for each and every rescue while keeping enough money to take in the next one and give it the care it needs and deserves.
We survive completely on private donations, so any donation is greatly appreciated
We will always be available to talk with you about our fees and to work with you to help you adopt if you are approved through the process.
The new fees are: "Purebred" Maltese, Yorkies, Pom, Etc. Note: Adoption for a pair is slightly reduced.
**** We assist other rescues and individuals in placing their dogs so some of the dogs pictured carry other fees. The fee schedule listed here is for our own reswcues so ... Unless otherwise stated on any particular dog the fee schedule is as follows:a
1 to 4 years old - minimum 350.00
5 to 8 years old - minimum 300.00
9 and up - minimum 250.00
The new fees for mixes are:
1 to 4 years old - minimum 200.00
5 to 8 years old - minimum 150.00
9 and up - minimum 100.00
Additional medical charge for tinies (4 pounds and under) for both categories can be 100.00
** just a spay/neuter for these little kids under 4 pounds and under can now be 350.00, while shots have to be given in halves so each shot is double expense. We currently spend over 500.00 for each tiny just for basic medical. That doesn't include food, heartworm meds, advantage, transportaion, etc, which we still provide at our own expense.
** These are suggested fees, each rescue has the option to ask what they wish for any dog. We are an alliance but still remain independant rescues....
